The bandwitts are Hymie and Brandy Witthoft, a Marcellus-based couple who write, record, and perform original music of various styles. Hymie plays drums and a wide range of percussion instruments, while Brandy plays bass guitar and is lead vocalist. During Brandy's 17-year career in the U.S. foreign service, their family lived in Africa, Central Asia, the Caribbean, and the Middle East, where they performed in bands that shared and showcased American roots music. They loved having the opportunity to learn about and experience the musical traditions of these places. Now that they have returned stateside permanently, Hymie and Brandy are thrilled to be joined by Jason King on electric and acoustic guitar and by Joanne Perry on mandolin and vocals.
